Any animal that you keep, if you keep it correctly can be a great learning experience. To learn the animals habits, likes and dislikes takes extended amounts of time just quietly watching.

KaNaBa started as an animal site where I showed off all Theresa Lamer's pets. At the same time she worked at Pet Plaza in National City. The pets we kept at home would inevitably breed and Terrie would sell them to the store and others in the area. We also got into Miniature Pinschers a breed we love and to this day still create 1 breed of these a year. See our Mini Pin listing at Breeders.net.
For many years Terrie faithfully showed up for work. After a while she was made a manager and at some points worked 7 days. At one point Terrie started doing work for Kathy's Cakes as well as the pet store. Time has a funny way of changing things and the original owners divorced and Terrie wound up forever working, we hardly saw each other and she was not making a whole lot of money even working 2 jobs.
All that changed on January 1st 2007 when she completed the purchase of Pet Plaza, the store she had worked for all those years was now her's.

Living with Animals the Ups and Downs
We currently keep about 70 different animals at home. Some of these animals change out regularly as they are just in to be photographed and observed. This helps us with providing care information that is up to date. Video's and photo's are used for advertising and video's to educate on all our sites. The rest of the animals we keep here are pets that we have had for many years. To live with this many animals on a daily basis is like a farm. We get up early to start the daily feeding and off to the store.
